E-PHIT: Meal Challenge 3

Apr 19, 2013 13:37

This visit was VERY productive. Not only did I have a meal challenge, but we worked in my second bone density scan, a meeting with Ali (the dietician -- I guess I've actually been meeting with a nutritionist technically when I met with Whitney) and did my exit paperwork ( Read more... )

Woo hoo!!!! Looks like things are great! I've heard of MyFitnessPal and it's supposed to be really good (I don't use it personally since I have my weird person dietary issues lol but it always is really high on the rates of dieting websites/apps).

Do you take a calcium supplement? I am lactose intolerant but take calcium.

I've fractured my pelvis. And skated on it for five weeks until my mom literally dragged me to the doctor since I was doubled over with pain each day. I was constantly injured and in pain during my teenage competitive years (aside from my internal health problems...my teens sucked) so I didn't think it was serious (it was...the doctor almost killed me when he learned I'd been skating on it). However, fracturing your arm in three places is definitely more painful...that was actually my most painful break of all. Yeah, my body was completely trashed by 18. That's why I finally stopped competing and went into teaching. *rambles*

Anyway, good job and good luck on the path forward!!!

As of this moment I'm not really taking ANY supplements. *ducks down behind Isaac so she doesn't get pelted with things from lots of you guys

I know I need to be...I think I just got out of the habit when my doctor took me off ALL my prescription meds last year and so the only thing I've been taking regularly are my allergy meds and my heartburn meds. Then, since I wasn't taking them at the beginning of the study they encouraged me not to start any new things until it was over, which is more than fair.

OUCH girl!!! Stop hurting my friend so much!!

Well just make sure you talk to your doctor before you start taking supplements, unless you just resume taking what you were before you stopped. Everyone should at least have a multi. *worries*

That's awesome, T!! I'll have to go back and read about the program you are doing because I never got to. I am using the loseit and weight watchers apps myself.

I totally need to lose weight but it's hard when you can't breath and now I have to see a cardiologist. Blah!!

Oh I found our LOTR and SG1 crossover fic. Lol!
