*waves hand* hello! Great play with the character as always... inspiring, really. So I made you a gift, or rather, a couple of icons, to show you how much I love how you play with Ronon and such. There aren't so many in the moment, I had not enough time today to do more, hope you like them.

Oh they are lovely! What a very nice and genourous thing to do! I just figured out about icon-implementation - I can't wait to use yours.

"Serious tension among my men. The men who are women. Tension among my women. The women who are my troops. Not my women. But, also, the men as well, with the (and an almost Rodney-like arm gesture here) jealousy."

Hee! This can never be quoted back to you enough. It is so, so great, and I can totally hear John's voice in it.

Ha! I am so glad you liked it! It's my favorite part! If I was the kind of person who knew more about the ins and outs of posting fic to communities and such, and needed a tage for that bit, that little paragraph would totally be it.

oh, this is good - the part that sticks with me is the FLUFFINESS of Ronon's beard, which is crazily adorable, but also the part where John Sheppard manages to imply that Elizabeth needs to get laid.

Also, poor RONON. man. snif!

It is sort of fluffy, though, right? He's so tremendously hot, but every time they do a close-up of his Stern!Warrior! face, I look right at his fluffy beard and smile.

I feel a little mean, because, yeah, poor Ronon -
But then I think about how IMPORTANT it is to share this cautionary tale of WOE with the community, and I decide that Ronon will have to make some more SACRIFICES. Probably with his clothes off.

Also! You know, Ronon would be so fucking tired from his recovery, but Sheppard said to start sleeping with people again, and it wouldn't occur to him to disobey, but it's really difficult to get in the mood, and it's hard to say yes when women ask him to come by, because what he really wants to do is get some sleep ( ... )

Oh yeah - and Rodney is a scientist, so even when he thinks he is just looking idly at Ronon, he's cataloging what he sees, and he is eventually going to start putting it together.

Re: Rope-burns of YOUTH and Inexperience -Yes yes! The real question here is how much Youth and Inexperience are we talking about for Ronon ( ... )

Oh, I loved this. Elizabeth being protective. Ronon looking younger and more vulnerable in his sleep. The sheer amount of misunderstanding on John's and Elizabeth's parts due to cultural differences. And it's completely understandable because how the heck is anyone from Earth supposed to have a clue as to what is going on with Ronon when he won't *confide* in anyone (because he is too scared)? It's sad but funny at the same time.

Oh, I eagerly await the day when you finally write the big everyone-finally-gets-it scene. Uhm, you *are* going to write that, eventually? You wouldn't tease us forever, right? Right? ::stares with puppy dog eyes::

not FOREVER jssangel March 23 2006, 19:19:28 UTC
Nah - I won't tease you forever - I'm just trying to work out how to fit in more porn and still be able to reach a happy ending.

And yeah - I think Ronon's lack of information sharing is partly because he's scared (about his own person "naughty" thoughts, partly because there are some things that you just wouldn't talk about outloud (sex at the dinner table), and partly because to him it would be a little like having to explain to the others that the sky is blue. It's just an obvious absolute truth.

Turn off smart quotes under both "AutoFormat As You Type" and "AutoFormat." That should keep them away, but if need be, you SHOULD be able to get rid of all of them doing a Replace All putting " in both the find and the replace boxes. At least, that used to work for me when I did it at work all the time.
