I finally found a solution for the "cats + christmas don't mix" problem. A thin chain across the room, out of harm's and cats' way, yet still easy to decorate, and come next year, I can still use it to hang up postcards etc.

Did I say "easy" to decorate? Hahaha! OK, imagine getting the chain up, 3.50m garland wrapped around it and then the baubles

thank you. last decorations will go up tomorrow (sheesh, everything takes ages these days. not a happy camper here.) the chain is neat, i can hang postcards once yule is over or spring decorations etc. and the cats can't get to it, yay!

heh, oh yes, very helpful. i have felt decorations which look like cats, and they nicked two of them. no chance of getting them back, they dragged them under the sofa and have spent all night taking them apart. :)

they do. it's just difficult decorating anything if you have to share that tiny space on the latter with 2 - 3 cats who are absolutely unwilling to move :D

looking at his daily pensum, it's no wonder buttons is exhausted. this lasts for an hour, then he'll be up and jumping all night long. sleeping is overrated!
