fourth joke; video/action for Goldenrod

Mar 28, 2011 03:39

[ The feed opens in not Marco's hands. This is immediately apparent, since Marco is sitting on the back of a cheerful-looking Venusaur. He waves at the 'Gear. ]

'Sup, Johto. Check out this badass. [ He points to the beast beneath him. ] Pam evolved a few days ago. This is why Bulbasaur is the best starter. Charizard and Blastoise are like fat, ( Read more... )

I assume that you are using sarcasm again. What is a super potion? Does it taste good? [Stupid backwards nonsensical fictional technology, but you are Ax's bitch now. HAH. Filtered feeds for the win!]

Good assumption. And I wouldn't know, Ax-man. Super Potions are for your Pokémon, not for you.

I'm guessing someone kind of filled you in already?

[For Pokemon, not him. Right. He'd try to remember that.]

I spoke with two people that were helpful. Claire and Dale Cooper. I like these names. They are enjoyable. Claire, Kuh-layer informed me about Hyperbole.

[ Claire and Dale Cooper. Marco makes a note to apologize to these people later. Possibly anonymously. ]

Hyperbole? She informed you about exaggeration?

Her Miltank? She's not a problem if you've got a Rock-type like you do. Just don't let her use Attract on any male Pokémon you've got.

Sweet. That's what I wanted to hear.

I really don't think any of her Pokémon will be a problem; she trains Normal-types, and my Rhydon should be like five levels higher than her team. Throw in Hammer Arm and Focus Blast, and I think I've got it covered.

Sounds like you're set -- even more than I was. I had a Rock-type, but Gae Bolg didn't know any Fighting-type moves until I taught him Rock Smash.

Rhydons learn Hammer Arm on their own, but I bought a Focus Blast TM from the Department Store just a day or two ago just for her. [ He grins. ]

Did you have any trouble with her?

[Riku shakes his head, watching the Venusaur carefully. He's joined by his abnormally large Charizard, who has to crouch in order to show up on screen.]

Are you sure it's not the other way around? At least Charizards can fly. Besides, grass types have way too many weaknesses.

[ Marco raises his eyebrows at the Charizard. ]

Looks like you've got a pretty big toddler on your hands.

Anyway, the reason I caught a Bulbasaur in the first place was to help counterbalance my Rhydon and Onix. They have a quad weakness against Water and Grass, which are weak against Grass and Poison.

[And Flare snorts. A toddler, really? He's about a foot taller than most Charizards, but could a toddler blast flames from its mouth or soar through the sky?

Peh.

Meanwhile, Riku shrugs.]

I can see how that'd balance things out, and the poison type gets rid of one weakness, anyway.

[But he still thinks a flying fire dragon is cooler. Useful, too.]

Don't get me wrong; I'm not dissing Charizards. In fact - [ He reaches offscreen, and after a moment, a thick vine arrives in front of him, holding his backpack. He unzips it and produces a red-orange egg wrapped in a blanket. ]

Got this little guy not so long ago. Should be hatching any day now.

[Would totally have gone right by this if not for the mention of That Guy.]

If he'd drink Potions, you might want to consider warning him about berries.

[Because that 'I don't know him' was of course not convincing at all. Coop is just going to assume that you know the guy. He appears a little distracted saying this, but he figured he should. ...it really wouldn't surprise him to see Ax Phillip get berry poisoning.]

Oh, God, berries. I didn't even think of that. [ Marco covers his face for a moment. ] Yeah, berries. Thanks, I'll... mention that to him.

That seems to be the best course of action.

[This would be the shrill screech of a Skarmory. He is not at all impressed by that Venusaur. A moment later, Isa himself comes up on the screen.]

It's just a plant-monster.

An almost seven-foot-tall plant-monster who can squeeze you until you pop like a zit.

[ On cue, Pam extends a thick, heavy vine and coils it around Marco's middle to pick him up. She replaces him on her back, just behind her head. ]
