So last night was the last night to see Mike and Juhua on this trip.  They came over and had a simple dinner at home.  I made lasagna and corn on the cob.  She bought the dessert.  There is a Chinese custom that when you visit somebody that you bring them a gift. Still busy.  Yesterday five of us went to Mount Charleston for the day.  We did a lot of hiking.  When we got to the MaryJane Falls trail I found it too steep.  While they went on I sat on a tree stump and read my mystery.  I also just sat and listened to the wind. So far so good.  Jules is home safe.  Picked up Mike and his wife (Ju-Wah). It's been ten years for him since in town and she's never been so  I wanted to treat them to dinner and we went to Olive Garden.  It was expensive but that is why I work.  To do things like this, well that and buy books.

So...last Saturday Jazz in the Park had started up again!  I went to see Marlena Shaw perform.  She's a funny, classy lady with one amazing voice.  Jules comes home tonight about midnight and will stay for the summer.  Yay! So Tuesday I received a message on facebook that my nephew is in town and may need to stay a few nights with me.  That's cool. Yesterday Arlene, Alyse, and I went to see the new movie Les Miserables with Hugh Jackman.  I have been hearing a lot of hype over it and it was all true.  The movie is fabulous.  It brought tears to my eyes and the singing was fantastic!  The scenery was awesome too.
