When I got home from work today, I sat down to watch an episode of King of the Hill, before Karate class. Karate class kicked my ass last night. I slept like a log, but I'm still tired, and my toes hurt. (Blisters) It's a good tired though. I've got to go to work in a few minutes and I'm not looking forward to it. It's not that work is bad. It's just boring and there's other things like writing anf art projects I'd rather be working on.

I like the olympics. Some people don't, but I do. The only problem with the summer games is that they don't usualy show the events I realy want to see, on TV. This year is different though. The coverage has been realy good and I'm getting to see the stuff I like. I've seen some good boxing and a bunch of fencing. Now if I can just manage to catch ( Read more... )

We finaly started sparring in karate last night, and we sparred for almost the whole class, which is unusual, and exhausting. At one point, I sparred with Kay, the new guy from a different dojo. He's a very nice guy and fights very well, but he also sparrs more roughly than most of us are used to. I don't mind because it makes me step it up a few ( Read more... )

I'm feeling kind of beat up, but in a very good mood. I've got three fresh blisters (big ones too) and some bumps on my arms from karate last night, and a small puncture wound on my middle finger from my cat's claw. It's been hot, which I don't like much, but I've had a good day so far, spending time with my girlfriend.

Since I returned to karate, about three months ago, I've only sparred in class once, and that was in the second week. Last teusday, the sensei said that in this week's class, we'd start again, so this weekend I went out and got a new cup (got to protect the little dude) and a new mouthpiece. I had a dream this morning that I was in ancient Polland (I don't actualy know the first thing about ancient Polland, but in the dream, it was a lot like ancient Greece) and I was helping to fight off an enemy invasion. Once again, I didn't sleep well last night, thanks to ugly/scary dreams. Then I woke up and promptly overflowed the toilet at my girlfriend's house. Now I'm all groggy and grumpy and don't want to go to work. I'm also not sure whether to go to karate tonight, or to have dinner with my family.
