Luik/Liege - the most depressing city I've ever been to. Gray, dangerous, dirty, smelly. Mostly empty streets and people you run into are not really the type you want to run into. My youngest dog (oh yeah, she's JUST 12 years old now) thinks she is pregnant.

My parents came back from their holidays at 6.20am. Tanned, relaxed, smiling. To the question whether they had a nice group of people there they answered that it was ok, but they mostly enjoyed each other. Good. The plan worked out. Me happy. :)

My parents don't call me. They email or Skype me every day, but they don't call. Why pay for international calls when you've got internet. Totally fine with me, BTW. Anyway, taking into account the above mentioned you might imagine that I almost got a heart attack when my mom called me ca a week ago. My dad just bought a new car. Chrysler Town & Country. Car is his tool of work so I understand the argument that the bigger the better for him. However, I clearly told him that he cannot expect me to drive him around in it anytime soon since I'd probably be only able to park it on a bus stop... ;)

I should have stayed in the private sector. That's the conclusion I reached tonight when I moved my brother to his new apartment from my place (finally, I may add). Thanks to my friends' help (they have a car) it was fast and unproblematic ( Read more... )

Yeah! Just got an email that my brother got a job he applied for (kind of a promotion for him - he's changing his job profile a bit but staying with the same company) and as a result he'd be coming to Amsterdam probably for at least half a year starting as of January.
