Luik/Liege - the most depressing city I've ever been to. Gray, dangerous, dirty, smelly. Mostly empty streets and people you run into are not really the type you want to run into. Almost every place was closed after 8pm, so finding a restaurant was a bit of a challenge. Had to settle for Danish Tavern instead of Belgian food. Danish Tavern with ( Read more... )

eastern promises seems like a good movie, but I tend to get a bit disturbed after watching Cronenberg's work. Plus, human trafficing for prostitution disturbs me in general. I tell you, I'm getting softer and softer as I age. Maybe it's bc I don't live in Brazil anymore, where, unlike the US, the harsh reality of life is obvious.

Your brother's job seems awesome. At least the perks do! :)

I never could keep my cool around violence - regardless that it's just on the screen. :/ But I want to see certain movies even if they contain some brutal scenes. Don't mind being considered a wuss if I turn my eyes away and make certain whimpering sounds... ;) As I said, I enjoyed it in the end.

My brother's job is awesome as far as benefits are concerned, true. But it comes at a cost: working weeks on end 12 and more hours EVERY day of the week, including weekends.
