It's been less than a week since the last time I posted and quite a bit has happened. In the first place, I finished two books. One was Hogfather, and it was pretty good. Then again, most of what Terry Pratchett writes is good. So it's not that much of a surprise.

Last night I finished Christopher Priest's book The Prestige. It was a good read. While the movie did stay close to it in many respects, there were a number of differences. I wish the title referred to a book I wrote, however, it doesn't. Instead, I finished one: William Gibson's Neuromancer. It's generally considered to be the birth of cyberpunk. I wrote this for my Survey of Western Art class. We had to do something based on an artwork we studied that related to our major. I'm a writing major, so I wrote a short story inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's City Night. I'm not going to claim that it's an amazing piece of writing, but I think it's at least pretty solid.
