Another book down...

Last night I finished Christopher Priest's book The Prestige. It was a good read. While the movie did stay close to it in many respects, there were a number of differences. Which really isn't all that surprising. Anyway, the book was written in first person--which never really bothers me--and takes the style of a journal/diary through most of the story. It was all quite interesting and I'm glad I picked it up. For once, I can honestly say that I like the movie and the book equally.

Next is a Terry Pratchett book, The Hogfather. I've already started it, and it's pretty good.

This journal has inadvertently turned into a book blog of some sort. That's not really what I intended, but books are about the most interesting thing I'm doing right now. I've also got a massive reading list to burn through right now, so I'm powering through all these stories.

In other news, I might have a job. Tomorrow I go in and talk to the hiring manager at KMart. It's fairly certain that I'll work for them, I just don't know how much or what I'll be doing. But it's money, and I need it.

What's really bothering me right now is that I'm not writing enough. I wanted to write something everyday, but I didn't do it yesterday. I haven't done anything yet today, but I will. Writing is a discipline as much as an art, so I need to force myself to sit down and do it. That probably sounds bad, but it needs to be done. I've got so many ideas, I need to commit them to paper. Or at least my Mac's hard drive.
