Wow, this was amazingly good. The depth and creativity of the detail was astonishing and I probably missed half the cultural references. You did a brilliant job of managing a large cast and making sure each one was distinct and interesting. The myriad of ways in which you wove in Trek canon was remarkable. Reading this totally ruined my work plan for the day but it was worth it!!! Brilliant work. You should be very proud of it.

It's exciting to think I wrote a real page-turner! Most of the references are to either ST or previous stuff the cast did (Zena, Center Stage, Pirates) so I bet you caught a lot of them.

Thank you so much! I'm just so pleased that you enjoyed the story!

This was so perfect I don't know what to say. I loved it. The writting was flawless, you could read the growth of each person and you managed to keep the characters personalities even in this setting. I loved every little bit of it and thank you for sharing it.

This story makes me think of older celadon ware; the kind that is a perfectly balanced and deceptively simple. The interlacing of all the details that leads to a synthesis of form and beauty--totally seamless ( ... )

I'm so pleased that you liked how I cast the AU! Sometimes you wonder if certain bits are too much so it's good to hear that it wasn't. I was trying to do something different with the romantic arc, so I'm glad that worked for everyone. One of the things I love about Jim and Len is that they are adults and to some extent know what they're doing.

Thank you so much for this lovely comment and your amazing metaphor. It means a lot!
