Okay, so it's not like he hasn't done this before. And after spending weeks picking up trash in Keystone's worst areas, he's seen stuff tons scarier than the JSA. Maybe. It's not like they're gonna kill him, either. Superheroes, that goes against the rules. So yeah, it's totally cool

The Black Canary comes running down the hall, drawing in a deep breath and preparing to let loose with a Canary Cry when she sees the bewildered teenager. "Jakeem? What the--where the--" She stops and scowls at him. "Okay, why haven't I been worried about you?"

"Uh ... hey Canary. Probably because you realised that a mature JSA member like me's capable of looking after himself?" Jakeem tries to look taller.

"No, because you're still a smart-ass squirt. What gives?"

[jakeem_thunder]

"Nothing gives. School's been real harsh this semester." Jakeem shuffles his bag. "Hey, you know how to kill the alarm?"

Walking through the Brownstone Billy spies Jakeem.

"Jakeem! Hey what's up?"

He doesn't seem to have noticed Jakeem's extended absence.

Walking down the hall, Terrific comes up on the scene.

"Hi Billy," he says politely as he passes. Then he sees who's here.

"Huh. Jakeem's back."

Then he thinks about it.

"Huh. Should we talk about your security clearance, Jakeem?"

Crap, Terrific. Jakeem sits up straighter. "Uh, yes please, sir."

"Whatever you had the Thunderbolt do, it seems to have wiped you from the 'secure' protocols. Which means we're going to have to issue you a new security card."

He looks annoyed.
