Okay, so it's not like he hasn't done this before. And after spending weeks picking up trash in Keystone's worst areas, he's seen stuff tons scarier than the JSA. Maybe. The Black Canary comes running down the hall, drawing in a deep breath and preparing to let loose with a Canary Cry when she sees the bewildered teenager. "Jakeem? What the--where the--" She stops and scowls at him. "Okay, why haven't I been worried about you?"

"No?" Jakeem looks hopeful, but he knows chances of Canary buying that are slim. "It's kind of a long story. Hey, why've we got new security anyway?" Her words catch up to him. "Everything that's been going on?"

Man, he didn't even last five minutes. "Okay, fine. See you know that plague thing? And my Aunt was real sick, right?" Jakeem makes his way to the kitchen, and starts poking through the fridge -- exposition is hungry work. "I got in trouble for cutting school to look after her."
