The guy at the Transmission place said that it might just be a leaky valve or an electrical problem, that the entire transmission might not have to be replaced. He can't try and fix it till next week, but there is hope. I'm feeling disappointed and betrayed that the Saturn service center wanted to squeeze me for $4000 to fix it, when it might only ( Read more... )

I am sorry.
I know how frustrating this is.
to be honest, it might be that Saturn thought their recommendation was that of, We are sure this will fix it.

the other place is offering, for cheaper, we think this will fix it.

90,000 isn't so much on a saturn if you get the oil changed, and the transmission fluid changed regularly.
I just had my spark plugs replaced and some tires, plus a transmission flush and expect many more miled from my little dragon scale.

Well the Saturn tech said that my transmission fluid was burnt, but the guy who looked at it this morning said that it was a nice red color. Seems dishonest to me.

they probably replaced it, since they had to look around in there. but yeah, black and burnt are bad, which is why I am transmission flushing.. mine is brownish black.

Sorry you had a bad experience. find out what they did to "look at it at saturn"
