I am more than thrilled with the service/work done at DBS Service Center on the corner of Cottage Grove Rd. and Atlas Ave. here in Madison. They've always given me good prices and excellent service. This time my car needed the valves in the transmission replaced. They quoted me $800, and calling around that was about average. It ended up costing me ( Read more... )

Car is broke again. I can still drive it, but the valves need to be replaced on the transmission, and if it goes too long, it can ruin the entire transmission. Of course it costs too much for us to easily fix. It should be OK for trips to work and home. But I'm doubting I can get up north to mom and dad's this weekend like planned ( Read more... )

Yep, I don't trust the Saturn dealership. Might stop going there for oil changes even. They quoted $360 to fix a major belt in the car. The garage down the road is doing it for $100. :eye roll:

Took the car into get an oil change this morning. And of course they found a ton of things "wrong" with it again. I guess my serpentine belt is cracked and needs to be replaced?
