I still think NaNoWriMo is bullshit, but I can see how people would think about doing it for a novella or something. It's sort of amazing the ground you can cover when you regiment yourself to write for a certain length of time every day.

Meeting up with Tiffany today was actually really helpful. We both got a lot of good feedback about our manuscripts, and we were able to talk through some of the issues we were having and the things we were shaky about. Bleh, I have two pages to go on my quota for tonight but I'm exhausted and I have to get up and go to work for four hours tomorrow.
