Today was my last grad school class, and my last workshop, ever. (Unless at some point I end up in a PhD program, but right now that's a ridiculous assertion.) I feel...strange. It's interesting to me that two of the three stories I wrote for workshop this semester (the two I like) ended up having major plot points arise out of research I did on the setting. Today was (hopefully) a turning point in the week. It went a lot better than the last several days, anyway. My work-related story got more compliments than I think it deserved, I heard from the insurance adjuster, nothing untoward happened.

Today has turned this week around. My short short story went over well in class--there were big issues with the ending, which I expected--and I got the best score on performance.
