Buh-bye Buh-Bob's ( a flashback )

Recently a building near me was torn down and it really brought some memories back. Mind you the business itself that was originally there has been gone for at least a couple decades, but I recall the Bob's Big Boy so vividly. That was the first truly large burger around here... and of course had their awesome secret sauce Thousand Islands on it

Thousand islands!! Yes that's it! I knew I recognised it!!!

Heeeheeee ! As a kid I did not eat salad (we simply did not have it at home) and I had no idea what Thousand Islands was LOL. It really was secret sauce (Bob's sauce back then) to me.

we had a bob's big boy right down the street from us growing up. it started as a locally owned burger joint called updike's that had the best onion rings and shakes. then when they closed up bob's big boys opened up. i could see the big boy on top of the restaurant from my bedroom window. haha

I want a koi pond with the Big Boy statue on an island in the middle of it. I still find it an iconic image.
