This is BESM, right?

What are these numbers?

Save 4, Destiny 1, Shrug 2

It's a lot like BESM, but it is a system designed specifically for Red Dwarf. Rolls are 2d6, trying to get under Attribute + Ability. I don't understand all of it, but:

Save = resistance to non-damaging effects (normal roll IIRC)

Destiny = pool to spend to mprove rolls (everyone starts with one and gets more by GM fiat)

Shrug = resisance to damage (if you are damaged, the amount of damage / Shrug, rounded down, is the number of wound levels you take)

Is it based off BESM, or are the similarities merely coincidental?
