i recently figured out that when i 1) post about wanting to watch something i am more likely to do it and 2) i am less likely to be overwhelmed by all the films i want to watch when i focus on a region or country, age or movement, director, etc. it also helps to stay away from mubi, as i have a tendency to get sucked into all the lists on there and ( Read more... )

so i'm thinking i might actually start using lj, just to have a place to myself to journal and post my thoughts on what i'm watching, reading, etc. since tumblr isn't the best place for that. i'll come back tomorrow to list some of the shows i watched recently with some thoughts on them, but this is it for now.
