Well, I was able to watch this episode today since I didn't make it to work today...
I have to say that I agree with all that you said about everything... And one day, when I get the urge, I'll post my thoughts... They might be long.. and ranting.. and yelling.. who knows..
But I loved the Sam/Vala scenes. They have been long overdue, and I'm glad that we got some..
Knowing that there are only 2 episodes left, I'm feeling a bit conflicted about this...
On one hand, I'm sad to see it end. It's been 10 yrs... none of the other shows that I watch last this long. And the reasons I've watched this show have changed throughout the years.
On the other hand... I'm kinda glad that it's ending... I can't say that I've agreed with some of the choices TPTB have made concerning the characters lately, and that bothers me greatly. I could get into a big long bitching rant about that.. But not here..
I am glad that Amanda is going to be on Atlantis next season.. Apparently Sam will have her own ship... I'm excited!
Thanks. Yeah I imagine people are getting tired of hearing me rant and yell about it... but I have no other place to do it, lol...
Even though I'm kinda glad it's ending, I'm a bit sad too. I think if it'd been a lot better (as far as character interactions anyway) I would've been even more sad. I guess there's nothing left to do but live in AU and fic land where the sun always shines, and Sam and Daniel are always friends (or more, LOL ;)).
I'm interested to see what happens with Amanda on Atlantis too! I hope that it won't coincide with the Stargate movies, esp. if they do more than 2. I don't think I could watch them without her in them, lol
I've always been someone who prefers the first three seasons because I think that's when they did the best job of keeping everything even when it came to the team relationships. However, even with my annoyance at the forcing of the Jack/Sam ship, there were still enough moments between them all that it didn't hurt my viewing experience. So I do completely agree that it's annoying how they're handling it this year (and even some of last for that matter

Thanks for commenting. I think you hit the nail on the head there. Comments that MS and AT have made lead me to believe they think the original 3 characters are still friends. It does seem to be the laziness of the writers and their heavy focus on Vala (and Mitchell to a lesser degree

I just saw some screen caps for this episode and none of Daniel with Sam. He's with Vala in all of them... *sigh*
