My grandmother hasn't been feeling well. And for a spunky 91-year-old with heart failure, that's pretty serious. She cancelled the beach portion of her birthday party this weekend, which was definitely a good call, but really means she wasn't doing well. I hope that helps! Would setting her up with a set number of prebottled beverages and an alarm help any? Banana milkshakes? Carnation instant breakfast? I dunno.

An alarm would make her nuts, I'm sure. She is drinking a lot of frappes, as far as I know! (That's "milkshakes" to you...)

And I really should add, you have my sympathies. Too much of this going around right now. When my aunt says "I feel like..." pretty much everything is dropped and someone goes to the store/whips it up.

My mom's used Ensure many times, and she says they're really not bad. Sort of a thinnish milkshake, I guess. And anything cold is going to cut the flavor a bit. It's so hard to see those signs of aging, I know.

They have reformulated them. My mom said years ago they were nasty, but now they're not half bad.
