Oh, and parenting classes. Which day do you suppose they'll cover Don't whore out your daughter to 59-year-old men for drug money?

Imagine what can occur in the span of a year. I'm sure that each of you has a date when you can think back a year (or several years) and say "Wow! I can remember exactly what took place on this date way back then. So much is different now. I am nothing like I was then. Things are infinitely better!"

Today is definitely that sort of day for me.

I heard that Rolling Stone tagged Baltimore as "Best Scene" in its "Best of Rock" issue this year. It's nice to see Baltimore get national attention for something positive. In my distress over car-related issues (which persist!), I neglected to note that the Whitney Biennial on Saturday was awesome. A lot of great work, but I particularly enjoyed Matthew Brannon's letterpress pieces.
