I am in a food coma

Ok, we had a seder here.  It's a Jewish ritual involving food.  And I have no restraint. I ate so much.  We started with green beans and then matzoh and charoset (apples/cinnamon/dates/nuts). Moved on to hard boiled egg (thus the need for so many eggs of late -- 2 seders:)) and matzoh ball soup.  Then there was pressure cooker carrot puree (which ( Read more... )

That cat-that is how the first cats became domesticated. Scientists are now fairly certain that cats self-domesticated. They picked people and moved in. And they STILL do it. My bestie has a cat that cuted her way right into my friend's house and heart.

So happy to hear you enjoyed the festivities today!

*hugs*

*pokes you* Hee! I'm delighted to see you here:) I was beginning to wonder where you'd been. Did that headache turn into a migraine the other day?

LOL. No cats are allowed to take up residence here. I'm allergic. This cat also had a collar. Interesting that cats self-domesticated. They do always seem to love me. I think it's because they can tell I'm allergic.

Both seders were great in their own way, actually. Mmm, foooood.

I've been pathetically lacking in energy and motivation to do anything the last few days. I've been lurking but feeling unable to participate. I feel a lil better atm.

Yeah, cats are not always successful in their attempts to adopt new people, but some of them sure try!

*sigh* I've just been crazy busy with very little time to be online. Also been feeling somewhat inward focused lately. Seems like a lot of people have had this problem.

Hee! So funny. Sometimes I wish I weren't allergic to cats. DD2 would love to have a pet and there is no way we are getting a dog (way too much work), but the allergy puts cats out too:(

Very cool. We usually have friends over who aren't Jewish and it's always fun. But now I'm stuffed!

Just reading that makes my tummy rumble! (and I just had lunch!, ok it was a toasted cheese sandwich)

Cats always know how to pick a family! Our first cat was like that, and years and years ago a neighbours cat would come in for a play, and sleep in a sunny or warm spot!
Plus they will always head towards people who hate them too., just for fun.

Too bad you couldn't have joined us! We had plenty, although there was not nearly as much salmon left over as I thought there would be.

Hee! Cats definitely have their own personalities.

And now, I'm off to sleep. 'night!

We just gave the cat a nibble. He seemed more interested in coming in that eating though.

*hands you some food* We actually sent a bunch of food home with our friends:D

Oh, the cat was great! Now we've had a dog and a cat come to our seder. The kids love it.

Aw, thanks. Not all of it, certainly, but I'm just confused.
