Boy howdy am I tired

I had a busy day that started waaaay too early when I woke up at 5:30 and dh's alarm was already brightening up.  At 6am he was in the shower and the fucking birds were chirping on it.  I couldn't fall back asleep after that, so I just got up.  Grrrr.

I made chocolate cake with almond flour (no wheat) in th mroning and then dashed off to therapy.

Yes! I was most pleased about that, especially because in the end I just decided to make my life easy and go with a veggie option and a plain cheese option and just serve that and it worked!

Yum! those crepes sound so awesome! Makes me want one now. LOL. And I'm so impressed that they were gluten free. And, yum, chocolate cake!!!

I hate when you wake up early and can't get to sleep. I always keep lying in bed and try and will myself, but it never works. LOL.

And I'd be totally up for watching season 1 again :). If work permits :).

I woke up abruptly at 6:30. It's not even like I need to get up that early. Dang it. so irritating.

♥ I love fluff (in case you couldn't tell, *cough*). That story was fun and I love that it's a song on the radio you can hear just by chance and then get to think of Merlin and Arthur.

Not sure if my recs count for anything, to be honest, but it's part of my squee, to rec stuff I love that makes me happy, so I do it. Plus, it's a way for me to be able to go back and look at stuff I liked later.

How was the almond-flour chocolate cake? If you enjoyed it, could I have the recipe? Sounds like the girl-gaggle was a success!

How long are the eggs supposed to incubate? I think it's *awesome* that you get to do this! What do you do once the chicks hatch - hand them back to the farmer?

21 days. I'm biting my nails every hour of the day when I'm awake because I can't seem to get the temp to stabilize.

I am sure you could do it too. I just happen to know someone who organizes it for home schoolers. But the 4H does it. I bought an incubator and got the eggs from her. We keep the chicks (and ducks) for 2 weeks and then they go back to the farm (assuming we manage to get them to hatch and don't kill them before hand).

Hello sweetie! Haven't visited here in a while, but have thought of you often. It's birthday month around here, and what with the end of semester coming, I've been up to my ears in baking, tests, cleaning, essays, parties---such a crazy mix!

Sounds like you're busy and happy, which is a good combination!

I just started re-watching Merlin from the beginning (for maybe the hundredth time, it seems), so I think your idea is great.

OMG, crazy mix indeed. Birthday month is always a busy time. We have birthdays spread out a bit in our house and I don't do anything big for them.

I've been writing fanfic like crazy. I wrote a 5k story last week. I never knew I had so many words in me. Dragon quilt is coming along. We got eggs to incubate, but I'm afraid I've done it all wrong and they won't hatch. Life is full and good, mostly.

Hurray for a rewatch! I will be posting that review on Friday.

Thanks! You too. I'm going to try to get the girls' room finished (with the painting) and mow the lawn. It will be a busy weekend for me too.
