What do you think Arthur's favorite dish would be?  This is a modern AU 'verse, so anything's possible ( Read more... )

Could be either. I was thinking chicken somethingorother, but not sure which chicken dish. DH suggested "medieval chicken" (a dish I actually make with onions, almond butter, and saffron and ginger). I might go with that.

LOL at your icon:)

Ha! I was totally thinking that too. I'm leaning towards a dish I make called "medieval chicken" that has ginger, almond butter, saffron, and onions in it.

LOL. Exactly.

For some reason I am imagining some sort of curry. But for the life of me, I can't tell you why my mind came up with that...

He said 'herb-encrusted capon' was his favorite in the show.

*sigh* Well, this is herby. Sort of. Did he say the herb encrusted capon was his favorite, or did Merlin?

I'm going to consider the medieval chicken close enough. Thanks for the fact from the show though!

I think Merlin said it was Arthur's favorite and from the way Arthur was eying the capon, I'd have to agree. :D

\o/ LOL. Well, drat. The trouble (for me) is that I've never had herb crusted capon and I want to describe Arthur enjoying the meal, so I'd prefer to serve him something I've actually eaten.

I think I'm writing about food too much lately, despite the fact that I haven't properly cooked anything in a while.

Also, this story is modern AU, so I'll consider my medieval chicken close enough:) (I've posted the recipe in the comments, if you are interested. It's quite easy to cook and very tasty.)
