Oh holy busy crazy life

Thanks for all your comments and concern about the banned comments issue.  It has been resolved.  It was not something that the user did on purpose and we don't know how it happened (as I thought).  LJ has been acting wonky lately.  In fact, if I've defriended anyone lately, it was not on purpose.  Let me know.  I'm a little overwhelmed with all ( Read more... )

Really? I feel like I could do more! Thanks for the encouragement:)

Did you notice that I have a completely different and much more reasonable standard for other people than myself? *facepalm* I do try to think about that, but I also find the interactions on LJ so rewarding and rich that I want to be engaged here as well.

This oh so much this.

Have a great day, you busy, productive thing! I'm still on vacation, but feel I should be so much more productive than I have been. I guess I still feel like I'm recovering from xmas! Now that both girls are back at school (as of today), maybe I'll find that motivation I've been looking for to get stuff done. You are very inspiring!! :)

Um. Wow. I can't believe I'm inspirational to someone, especially someone like you who has a real job and real things to accomplish.

That was yesterday. I washed laundry, but didn't get any put away. I did cook all the beef, had friends over for three hours, and went dancing though.

Today I will work on the story, but probably later. I will also work on quilt patches. But now I'm going to mail the quilts I finished at the end of December and go buy a few things.

Thanks for the encouragement however. I've gotten the kids off to school, cleaned up the kitchen, and folded half the laundry:) It will be a good day and productive week. Not too much social stuff going on; much better for productivity!

I know. *sigh* I have ridiculous standards for myself.

It's the golden handcuffs of LJ I guess, right?

Yep. 9 lbs. I am making burrito meat, italian sausages and two as yet to be determined things. It's all ground. I used to gag when I touched raw meat, but I seem to have gotten over it.

Hah! We'll see if I manage all of that today. I always have aspirations:)

Why is it bad to love LJ? I was just thinking about that this morning. I love having lots of time to think about things and talk about things and LJ is the one venue where I really get to talk about stuff that excites me. How is that a bad thing?

Italian sausages can be good. I don't eat that much meat. Most of the meat will be consumed by dh.

All the meat will have been cooked by the end of the day. Not sure if I will punt on laundry or sewing. I probably won't write:P Friends just left. Not a whole lot of time left before we leave to go dancing.

Ground beef ftw! Burrito meat is cooked. Italian sausage meat is waiting for my hand to recover so I can stir one more time before cooking. 2 other dishes will be made later.

If you love knitting, go for it!

You are smart. I try to do that too. Sometimes replies come as I'm responding to comments and then I get sucked in.

I think this goal group is going to be great. I will post my goals later. Someone else asked about them too:) I'm happy to share my goals.

I reply quite quickly a lot of the time simply through the fact that I'm online a lot, but I don't stress about it if it's just a random one-off comment someone's made. The only time I do is if it's obvious the other person is online and we're batting back and forth. Then I feel obligated not only to reply quickly, but to keep replying. I know I shouldn't feel that way, and I do try to walk away from threads (for a break or altogether).

You get so much done (in a single day!) that it makes my head spin. I'm terrible for focusing on goals, I hope that group is helpful for you.

Yeah, I do that too. But real life pulls me away from the computer too.

Really? I feel like I never get everything done that needs to be done. But, being a stay at home is like shovelling sand.

I get that impression, reading you. I would be exhausted if I even tried to keep up with what you do. Heck, I get exhausted reading it. There may always be more to do, but you get a tonne accomplished, it amazes me.

I guess I'm just used to it now. But there are other moms who do a lot more than me (or I guess they different lots of stuff). I don't know how families function when both parents work out of the home.

It's been pretty fun so far! I don't mind cooking the meat. And doing all this cooking now saves me from cooking later, so it's worth it!
