Glad you found it!

I'm sorry to hear about the death. A case where the attachment parenting just didn't ... attach? :( No parent should ever lose a child. :( :(

Yeah, not gladder than me though:D

The case of Katie's son seems strange to me. I don't know the whole story. I think they had a good attachment. I don't know if he got depressed and wanted to try drugs or what, but it seems like he was the type that once he tried it, he just got into harder stuff and it spiraled out of control over a few years:(

I agree: no parent should ever lose a child:(

What a deeply heartbreaking story. I saw the news on Muffy Bolding's wall, but hadn't followed up until now since I was traveling at the time.

Addiction is a cruel bitch, and it runs in families. Even great parents can have kids that become addicts, it's an illness not a weakness. I love that you told your girls to talk to you first if they want to do drugs. I am going to use that when Maggie is a little bit older, and then often and regularly.

Hugs.

Heh. Given that my girls are just 5 and 8, I don't think they have any clue what I was talking about, but I feel like it was an opportunity to talk to them and I wasn't going to pass it up.

::hugs:: back
