Yesterday I found out that Katie Allison Granju's oldest son died.  He was 18 and had had a drug problem, then he overdosed and got beat up too.  I didn't know Katie or her son, but his death has hit me hard.  Granju is well known in attachment parenting circles.  I know people who know her.  I feel like this could happen to anyone I know.  I told ( Read more... )

Damn. A second writer in as many weeks (unless my memory is really screwed up). I loved The Wheel of Time books (at least the first four or five). I'm really saddened to hear of his untimely death. (This news was brought to me via kinzel. More info here.
