I've been chugging away at the lobster quilt. I think I will finish it this week. Wahoo! The baby was born last week, so I have further motivation to get it done:)

I've been cooking and cleaning and stuff like that. Oh, and I've been watching movies. So far the best have been O Brother Where Art Thou and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Cold Mountain ( Read more... )

US version of The Office. It was beyond wretched. Seriously.

Did you like the book, Cold Mountain? I have it, but I'm sort of afraid to read it.

I was so happy that the Coen brothers toned down the violence a notch or two for O Brother.

I can't remember - do you knit? I have an easy mitten pattern, with thick yarn, if so. And you can find easy patterns for fleece mittens, too. Given how quickly kids lose the little buggers, sometimes it's handy to have a means of regenerating them. :P

Nope. No knitting here. It's too hard on one's wrists, from what I understand and mine are already shot.

Fleece mittens would be a decent idea if it weren't so wet here.

Hanna Andersson, or however it is you spell her last name, has awesome clothes. I swear, my kids can wear her stuff much much longer than normal clothes. Like there was one outfit they wore from 6 months to 18 months and DD1 has a shirt she's worn for three years now. It's like magic. Plus the quality is really good.
