In church, our pastor often refers to Exodus 34:6-7 as the "riddle of the Old Testament." (How is it that God can be both merciful and just and still be righteous? Answer: Romans 3:23-26, esp verse 26Jews refer to these same verses as "Shelosh-'Esreh Middot" (the Thirteen Attributes of God's Mercy). I've found that this passage is quoted/
