I tried to take a few pics of the puppies today and yesterday. They're getting so big and they're losing some of that sweet, soft puppy look. They're still super cute, though! When I say I tried... Well, ( see what I mean. )
They're lots of fun! But, with your upcoming move and all I'd say Layla is more than enough to handle. :D I think she'll be fine, too. marshmelococoa has suggested that it's likely it can be fixed during a spay and wouldn't need to be a separate surgery, so that's really good news!
The hernia will adventually go away as she keeps growing. Ozzy, the demon dog, had one when he was smaller and the vet suggested that we massage it back in a few times a day and it adventually went away on its own. It feels aweful while you are doing it but it will help the hernia to stay where it belongs. Ozzy's has never came back. It was a cheap, holistic fix. I love my vet.
We use Dr. Ward. I love him. He's just as common and down to earth as we are. When we need him to make a farm call he comes right over.
Ozzy is actually A.J.'s dog. My uncle decided A.J. needed a new puppy, since his ran off right after we moved to the new house, and brought him a Jack Russell. Big mistake. We had planned on keeping him outside but when we got him he wasn't any bigger than my hand so I could not stand the thought of putting him outside in February as small as he was. So, he ended up being a house dog. Being a Jack Russell he chewed up a rug and even the wall, literally. We call him the demon dog because he is so full of it. David came over tonight to get some clothes for Layndon and he actually tried to bite him. I was shocked. He's never tried to bite anyone.
Word of advice, stay away from Jack Russell's unless you want your hands full. Even though he is a demon we love him.
AWWW!!!! They're absolutely adorable! Sebastian has to be over 20 lbs. right now. He's so big! He's very healthy and playful. I'm taking him to get his booster shots on Monday or Tuesday next week. It depends when my doctor's appointment is.
Thanks! I'm sure he is over 20 lbs - He's really huge!
That's good. If you're going to Dr. Ward, he has evening office hours starting at five on Monday and Thursday evening. Everyone has to get poked and prodded this week, huh?
I like both vets just fine, actually. We used to go to Dr. Holbrook's clinic, but when I called to check pricing on Percy's neuter Dr. Ward was just a little cheaper and it's a little closer to our house and so we've just kept going there.
