30 Days of Tom Hardy: Day 2

DAY TWO. Favorite movie! I wish I could say anything other than Inception so I'd look a little cooler, but I'd be lying. (Also I haven't seen all of his other movies BY FAR. RocknRolla is awesome too though. COULD BE BECAUSE HANDSOME BOB IS JUST HOW I LIKE MY THARD THOUGH, SEE PREVIOUS POST.) Inception is just really cool, yo. It's my main (only) ( Read more... )

Do you have a good quality dl of this? I feel like I definitely need to see it again. It was one of those situations where I walked out thinking it was AWESOME, but there was so much hype that I got very sick of it. I mean, I was never going to like it as much as everyone else apparently, because even leaving the theatre, while half of me was discussing the ending and all the cool stuff and what a neat concept it was and great cast, blah blah blah, the other half of me was already picking out all the flaws that are big pet peeves for me.

SO YEAH. RAMBLE. My point being that now people aren't telling me how much I suck for not wanting to have its babies, I would really like to see it again. The parts that worked best for me were all the emotional ones, in particular with Cobb and Mal. Leo is SUCH a good actor and no matter how many times he must fictionally part with a loved one due to death, it still hits me in the gut. That part where he reveals that they did grow old together, and you see them walking through their dreamworld all ( ... )

I have a cam version from some torrent, but it's pretty decent? The DVD is coming out soon though, so I'd wait for the DVD rip. (I used this torrent if you don't want to wait!) What were the flaws that bothered you? TELL ME I WANT TO KNOW. Also I'm pretty sure that I would've come out of the theater loving it no matter if I did or not. I just really needed a new fandom with LOTS of fic and picspams and craziness, because those Jonases just weren't cutting it anymore.

The emotional parts were amazing, and the cast really was SO GREAT, but I'm pretty guilty of being more into the action parts than the emotional ones - EVEN THOUGH THOSE WERE AMAZING TOO. I kinda wish I'd seen it before I knew Arthur/Eames were The New Big Ship though, because that definitely changed the way I watched the movie.

This is so interesting! I actually agree with and/or can see your point on all of these things. I had no problem understanding the plot either. I guess that if you're going to look at it like 'IT'S ALL A DREAM OMG' then it'd be a little more difficult? Seeing as I'm pretty sure that's not how Chris Nolan meant to make it. But yeah, definitely went in expecting to come out totally confused, which wasn't the case at all. Also I agree on wanting to know more about the characters' background, but I assume that wouldn't have gone down with the target audience who went in to see a Chris Nolan movie, explosions and cool shit, yeah!

lolol I don't think you're allowed to give it that much thought! IT IS ALL VERY DIFFICULT OKAY. MOST DIFFICULT THING IN THE WORLD, INCEPTION. You just have to wonder how easy it would've been if Fischer's mind wasn't militarized ( ... )
