I spent the afternoon and evening with Dacia, chatting, massaging, being held and babied, letting her cry on my shoulder, and generally cuddling with her. Tonight Mom finished Scrapped Princess. Victory! Mom's Verdict: 'It was good, but the ending was kind of silly.' I more or less agree, though the ending at least makes more sense than so much other anime out there.
