We found a nifty-looking DVD shelf at Best Buy and bought it yesterday... It turns out it was only nifty-LOOKING; it's pretty shoddy quality and we had a heck of a time putting it together. Back in my day, if you wanted to do an anime cosplay, you got really familiar with a sewing machine (or a geeky seamstress). Nowadays, you can just up and buy a costume.

Anime Director Satoshi Kon passed away at 45. He was the guy who did Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika, and Paranoia Agent. I'm a little sad this morning, because I was looking forward to seeing more of his work.
