Last night, Stephanie found my FireRed cartridge! Now I'm up to 310 caught pokemon. We REALLY need a paper pokedex. Also, the "National" pokedex is ordered in a rediculously stupid way, and I'm sorely tempted to create an "international" pokedex with all the pokemon ordered in a reasonable way ( Read more... )

Rush Limbaugh trying to remain relevant by challenging Obama to a debate (run for office if you want to debate politicians, goofball)

I don't think that's entirely fair. The President ought to be able to be challenged by anyone, not just direct competitors. That said, I think Obama would win.

Being challenged is fine, but the President of the United States doesn't shouldn't have time to debate random citizens about policy they don't like. This is why we have representatives and senators who are responsible for (somewhat) smaller population samples.

Making well-reasoned arguments and shooting them in letter/e-mail form to the White House is one thing; demanding several hours of the President's time (debate plus introductions plus travel time plus whatever preperations plus security detail) is another.

You have a good point that Rush is by no means the representative of the GOP. If this is a serious issue, tho', Rush should use his pull to get someone elected to publicly discuss this with Obama.

...where I would still see Obama winning.

Except it seems that GOP leaders are hesitant to say anything more belittling of his opinions than that he's an entertainer...
