Parades are fun. My fiance is from the city of Saginaw and the first time he came out to the rural burbs he nearly died at our 'Walleye Festival' parade. :-) Now he likes it.

Lovely sketch! And I can't wait to see what you're doing for part_of_him

Walleye Festival
Now, that sounds fun!

My "Michigan" revelation came the first winter up here when I witnessed a "Cold Butt Euchre" tournament, lol.

The sketch I have in mind for the new challenge has Edward & Jasper---such a yummy combo!

What instrument does the eldest play? And what a flexible riderwhose stead I want to steal!

Whoa. That's an impressive sketch. That's just a little sneakish sketching, huh? What's a Mircon ink pen?

The Eldest is currently playing the clarinet but should be adding the saxophone this year for a jazz class elective. (I nudged him on that saxophone thing...that was my instrument.)

The lovely circus girl on the horse was quite impressive. I missed taking the photo of her when she was doing a hand-stand on the horse. Love your horsey icon, btw!

The Micron pens Link are a type of ink pen that come in different colors and sizes. I just got this set to play around with...I'd like to do some pen & ink type works.

It's Monday evening and The Hubby & kids are outside still shoveling that lovely mulch, lol. I'm taking a break.

The town I'm in has a parade for just about every major holiday...and tons of people show up for them. It boggles me.

The pen & ink was fun to do, plus quick which is a plus with me these days; I'm planning on playing with these some more.

How fun! Parades are so cool! :) The firetruck reminds me of Bella's truck. LOL!

I'm sorry you had to do yard work all weekend, but I'm glad your yard looks lovely now!

Your sketch is really cool! :) It looks like something out of an old book.

There were vehicles of all kinds: old, new, cars, trucks, boats...it got kind of ridiculous after awhile, lol.

The yard is finally done and I managed to plant a few more things in the garden. :)

Thanks for the feedback on the sketch, it was fun to play with my new pens. It is from an old book---a children's series that was first published in the '40's.

Wow - what a great drawing - so tight and stylish! Have you drawn this sort of thing before?

No, I haven't. The pens are fun to play with---I need to get more comfortable with them. I unfortunately still have this aversion to messing up paper (due to lack of paper as a child, lol) so I'm still trying to "loosen up" and play.
