Garden Tour #2

Jul 08, 2011 09:30

I'm blaming crediting enomis57 (who credited ladybracknell) for this picspam. Thanks to both of them I've discovered (and downloaded) a nifty photo-taking app for my iPhone called 'Hipstamatic'.

***WARNING***
IT'S ADDICTIVE. I MAY FORGET TO EAT OR SLEEP OR FEED THE CHILDREN. I'M BUSY, OKAY?

Flowers first...

These are fabulous!! The colours look amazing. We really do need to start a photography club!!

I think my favourite is the third one.

Such fun!

The third one looks good since the colors---blue sky/yellow flowers are complimentary. Really makes them POP.

I took these with the same setting--John S lens, Kodot film, no flash---I like the saturated color.

Maybe a livejournal 'Hipstamatic' community?

I love a good blue and yellow contrast :)

I will have to have a look and see what is on LJ. I really don't have time to start another hobby!

Kinda hard to tell, but is it a lupine?

These are great. *runs off to check if android has that app*

It doesn't, but picplz and retrocamera are close (though retro camera only has 5 options)

Awesome! Glad to see my Hipstaness is spreading :D.

The purple things look like a bit like lavender to me - maybe something in their family? (since I assume it's not actually lavender since you'd, you know, know that, lol)

Your Hipstaness is a like a disease, lol.

Could be something lavenderish...not sure. It's the kind of perennial that takes a few years to really bloom nicely so by the time I noticed it I'd forgotten what it was. I need a plant nerd to come over and help me.

Re: I'm totally getting this app, thank you! *shifty* javidan July 8 2011, 15:12:30 UTC
This app is really fun---I just need to figure it out some more. All these pics were taken with the same settings but there's other ones to play with.

I think about everything outside of it (trees, gardens, swings, etc.).
I'm with you. I was the same way while in an apartment. Luckily after 3 moves I'm finally in a good gardening spot---short, but intense growing season, good soil, and children old enough to not get in my way, lol.

Now I live downtown on the busiest street in the city
Now see, one of these days I'd like to live in a city. Just a little while, since I never have. :-)

The bunny was actually my first portrait victim, lol.

Did you find anything comparable for android?

This app for iPhone cost $1.99 which isn't much considering the fun I'm having with it!
