Yesterday was a nice day of just lounging around the house, since fruitbat_mum needed her car. The downside was that it was too cold and overcast for Morgan to go swimming, which she was asking us to do _all_ day long. The dress is made of epic awesome and win. It fits me perfectly (wow, so I'm not just full of hogwash, I DO have a 1920s figure!) and I look like a movie star. Even my mother is impressed with the dress, and that's saying a LOT, my mother hates old clothes. She's currently trying to figure out how to clean it, but she's afraid because it might be silk.

I'm not yet sure how I'll return your kindness, but I will somehow.

If the dress is silk, the best way to clean it will be to pop it in a bucket with cold water and a few squirts of shampoo (good for washing delicates in) and leave to soak for a couple of hours. Then, take it out and rinse in cold water several times (probably easiest to do in the bath tub). Then hang or peg it gently to a coat hanger and leave to drip dry in the shade (this will protect the old silk fibres and stop it yellowing. Iron out any creases with a coolish iron.

Not really. Jet lag isn't too bad coming this direction. It's going home that really gets you.
