Today, I found an old electronics store sales paper from the end of 2002. I'm not sure why I kept it, but it was interesting to see. For example, you could buy a 2 megapixel Sony digital camera with no optical zoom for $200. $350 would buy a 3.2 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom. I read an article about "light-colored ridges" in a Martian canyon that may indicate that Mars had water a long time ago, so I started thinking about water. On Earth, water cycles from rain into lakes and oceans then back into the atmosphere to rain again. I heard someone talk about the Toyota hybrid car today. This person called it a "Pry-us." I'm squarely in the "Pree-us" camp. If the Toyota Nation website is to be believed, I'm in the majority with just over 2/3 of people. About 24% think it should be "Pry-us."

I just saw a new Geico commercial with a couple cavemen in a bar. Because of the lighting, their foreheads, and their longish hair, they looked rather like Klingons.

I just read about a guy whose main and reserve parachutes both failed on him during a jump. He fell over two miles, but because he managed to land in a blackberry bush, he only had a collapsed lung and a broken ankle. Amazing.
