A generation lost in pace.
She wishes she could pin down a "subculture" or "label" or "clique" (using the term somewhat loosely) to fit into.  It would make things so easy.

And then I think, well, then some of you has to be chipped away and hidden so that nothing unusual shows and makes you different. How ironic that subcultures are more judgemental
