"You're sorry? About which part exactly," she prompts, hoping to god he doesn't choose the part she had just recently come to terms with.
"I asked you a long time ago to hold on to your normal life, do you remember that?"
"Yes."
"For whatever reasons, you decided to make that pretty difficult for yourself, but I tried... I hoped, out of all of us, you'd be the one to pull it off."
"It was my choice, Jack," she reminds him.
"I'm well aware of that, but I'm the reason you made it. And for that, I truly am sorry."

Gwen understands what he means now.
She's just been through the week from hell.
Arguments with Rhys, looks from Owen and having Jack defend her honor, even though Jack will never admit it, but Gwen knows Owen's eye didn't simply decide to turn black.
"So, what now?"
Jack sighs, "Now, you have a choice. You can take a month off until the effects wear off or you can continue the treatment."
Gwen hugs the notepad to her chest and looks at him, questioningly, "You don't want a say in the matter?"
"It's your choice, Gwen. It's always been your choice."
