I had a minor stroke two weeks ago. I am fine, just typing accurately is diffficult.

Twenty years ago, I married my best friend. We've been through it and come out the other side strong and healthy. Here's to us!

Today is the 19th anniversary of Sam's and my first wedding to each other. It's been rocky sometimes, but despite all odds, two very broken people found each other and formed a fairly functional whole.

Yesterday I bought a domain for my writing site.

I will get to work on building the site and adding content some time within the next week.

The domain was hard to choose. I went with the name of my LJ, because it really suits.

I love how each generation defines its own slang patois.

My generation said things were "cool".
Teenagers today use the word "swag" for cool.
My parents' generation said "nifty, and keen, and coolio".
And my grandmother probably said that things were "the bee's knees".

They've put her on a smaller trach tube as part of the weaning process, and she is able to speak and to eat now. :)

One day, my girl will come through my front door and there will be SO much celebrating!

Lis has beat the covid right out of her body, but she is still sedated and has a trach tube. She was moved to a rehab yesterday, where they will begin weaning her off of these things.

She WON!

Lis has now been in ICU for 15 days and on the ventilator for 14 days. This is the scariest time of my life.

My daughter Lis has been in the ICU for ten days with COVID19. She's been doing pretty badly, and we are basically hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. However, there was good news today.
