Had a rather nice weekend, I think.

Star Wars on Saturday, sans a Mendel and a Pixie, was fun. My character took a blaster bolt to the kidney and still managed to stab people. w00t!

On Saturday night while Josh was doing FFXI stuff, midnightranter, bagelofangst and I watched Der Untergang. It was good. Depressing and intensely serious, but good ( Read more... )

Ah, yes... Star Wars. The only game system in which I've escaped a brutal combat by pissing someone else's pants. :)

Puny bothan, actually.

The character was designed to be a weaselly smuggler/con man/thief type. At one point, on an Empire-dominated world, our Rebel task force got caught by guards, inside a rather busy casino setup. We had a bigass wookie, a badass jedi, and a puny-ass Bothan.

Now, the other two, they could hold their own in a fight, but we were trying to stay on the DL, so everyone was stalling. The wookie pretended his translator wasn't working, the Jedi was hemming and hawing. However, rule #1 of Star Wars: always suspect the Bothan came into play. The guard with me actually wanted to take me in. Being that I'm tiny and light, he literally lifts me by the lapels ( ... )

<3 Lucius. He's such fun to play... but whew! It takes a lot outta me.

The pleasure was mine for brunch. I rather like entertaining, despite all the kvetching and worrying I do (as Josh and Pat can attest.)
