Looking for some opinions

Apr 10, 2007 01:06

I hate the idea of sounding rude and assholish when dealing with people who are basically waiting on me in some capacity, especially when it's via email and the person who gets the email may not be the one I need to be pissed with. It smacks too much of people who come into my store and bitch me out because of a company policy which I have no ( Read more... )

I've worked Customer service on the phone and through email. Someone has definitely dropped the ball on your order. Maybe your next email should be in about 48 hours. Ask for a supervisor and/or a phone number. Keep copying the emails you have sent and received ( ... )

To my knowledge, no one else sells the cds. They're still a fairly small band but are beginning to make a name for themselves. I know they have a MySpace and brynwulf let me know they've been putting considerable effort into their YouTube site lately. If I can't get some satisfaction from my last email in a couple of days, I'll check out the others. Thanks for the suggestions!

1) Where is this business located? Find out the state and county.

2) Sprinkle some wording about Better Business Bureau and [Name of County] Business License Office into next email and give them 5 business days to respond.

3) If you don't here from anybody, write a letter (send it certified mail) and CC copies to the BBC and the CBL.

It's really hard to tell what's going on, except obviously they need a new process for orders. :) I ordered my CD from their site directly also and I think it took about a month.

This is totally my personal opinion, but it seems the website has been woefully neglected for months now. It's my impression they're devoting all their energies on the Kane youtube site and just sort of leaving the website languish. That could be wrong, though. I'm surprised, what with Kane winning best new country band or something like that, that they're not responding more speedily to the people who voted for them.

Good luck. Yep, I was no help at all. :)

That's OK, I was really just looking for the solidarity and for people to pat me on the head. You did beautifully. *G*

That's why I sent a copy of the email to kaneteamers as well as kanemerch. They're the ones I got a response from before. Here's hoping I don't have to get all medieval on their asses.

Also, didn't know about the youtube site. I'll check it out.

LOL! I actually knew about the MySpace thing because I was sent an email about it. They used the address from my original email to them and the subject line was: missing order. *sigh* It got me all excited for just a minute.

I know you really want to get the CD, but this might make a good threat. It's from paypal's website.

Dispute resolution on PayPal purchases.

When you pay with PayPal, you gain access to a forum for dispute resolution called the Resolution Center. Through it, you can file a claim against:

A physical good that you paid for but never received.

I've never really thought about exploring options through Paypal before. It's definitely a recourse if things continue at a stalemate the way they are. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

I knew I was right to ask my All-Seeing, All-Knowing flist for their opinions!
