Azula doesn't have much to do in her life now. She sleeps, she eats, she waits in the cell she's been given for the healers to come and speak to her in low, soothing voices.
She is in the icy North. She knows this because she hears the wind roaring outside despite the fur-lined warmth of her room, she sees the bulky savage clothing of the people caring for her, she recognizes the flavor of their food as Water Tribe.
And she knows the Southern peoples have yet to go before they can create a building of this size and guard it with enough able-bodied benders she suspects this one is surrounded with. Brother Zuzu wouldn't have sent her anywhere soft.
She has a guard who is somewhat young, as far as those go. She supposes there must not be many older men here, what with the cost of war being decreased population: and these waterbenders seem to think their women weak. (she'd like to tell them of the girl who fought her to a standstill under ba sing se and finally beat her at her own palace) Anyway, the guard is young, perhaps just ( ... )

...but alas, I am torn between asking for something about Relena being awesome, or not being completely and utterly predictable and asking for, say, Fruits Basket: Kyo trying to buy or bake something nice for Tohru for Valentine's (or was it White Day?), with hilarously dorky results. Is either of those doable?

Toph sees it as an ending, an ending of this time in which she can, at least, smuggle away some freedom in the nights at he earthrumble championship, in the nights wearing rough cotton and bleeding honestly. When she turns sixteen, she will be arranged to be wed, and she will be expected to spend her life with an older man she doesn't know, someone gentle enough to nurture her. Someone who might not even require for her to bear children, in her delicate state.
It makes her sick. Literally sick, when she thinks of those birthdays to come. When her mother tells her she's growing up beautiful. When her father tells her that her bending lessons will be completed when she is fourteen, to make room for ( ... )
