For dinner, I bought myself some sushi and a mango/pineapple/yogurt smoothie yesterday as a reward for all the insanity I had to deal with on my week back from Belgium. I think I could eat an entire tray of unagi sushi all by itself. But only the sushi, for some reason. I've eaten unagi-don and just plain unagi, but I like the sushi form the best.

I reside all the way in Nova Scotia, Canada. Why is someone's orientation ANY of your concern? A sexual preference does nothing to interfere with a person's ability to function with the unit as a whole on the battlefield.
I urge you to not dismiss this man for proudfully serving a country; a country that rewards his heroism with disgrace and disgust. A Nation for the free, so long, it seems, as the freedom meets their own rigid, narrow minded views.

Absolutely. In fact, this has been in the back of my mind since Pain exploded Konoha. Was seemed an even more blatant means of getting Sasuke and Danzo in the same place without any innocent bystanders.
I don't have a problem with Sakura crying. The girl's had a long day, and it looks like the boy she's been trying to save for years has taken a turn for the evil. I DO have a problem with fucking Naruto saying 'leave this to me', and the plot leaving her the hell behind AGAIN.Don't have a problem with Sakura crying, but I have a huge problem with how it was framed. That Sasuke was her breaking point and she was having this breakdown a.) after getting her ass kicked and b.) in the middle of a confrontation. To me, it read as Kishimoto using Sakure to "represent human weakness" and made Naruto seem stronger. It also strikes me as negative character ( ... )

-Yes, this. It's what was bothering me at the back of my head during that scene. Naruto being calm and dignified and taking charge, and Sakura being emotional and 'weak'. I hate to call crying and emotion a weakness, but regarding the culture the mangaka comes from and the predominant belief that emotion is weakness, you're right. It really does send out those vibes. Especially since, out of the two, Naruto is more emotional. It's like Kishimoto sets Sakura up in the damsel position when Sasuke is involved.
I'm thinking of Sasuke In A Barrel arc, where Sakura was not only left behind, not only did she not have Words about the situation, but Naruto played the noble knight who was going to bring back her love to her. I liked the contrast between that scene and Naruto breaking down with Sakura telling him there's no point crying, but I really fear a rebound in the near future.

It's totally not. The pain arc is a failure on so many different levels.
