The cold and heavy breath of Edge sighed across the streets. The moon was shrouded, as were the stars, and yet the white mist illuminated the world around Nanaki with haunting neon eyes. The familiar feeling Edge echoed about him, the feeling of the city watching him, stalking him in the mist behind him. The mist muffled some sounds, amplified others. There were footsteps and howls disturbingly close. Maybe the shades of the dead all walked this place now, just like her

The light of the other's tail was the first thing that Vincent took notice of before Nanaki's full form materialized before him. Though he didn't express relief in his voice, his body too relaxed minutely at the presence of the beast. It was better to be in company on such nights, where he felt as if he was being watched by unkind eyes.
"It has," he uttered softly, gazing down at Nanaki, halting in his walk once they had approached one another. It was good to see a familiar face, one that had failed to become unrecognizable since he had last seen him.
"Mmmm...this fog dampens the senses. It is a pity that we should cross paths this night of nights, but then maybe not." Nanaki moved to Vincent's side intending to walk along side Vincent towards his destination. He cast his eye down the nearby alleys, and watched the windows, images of blue eyes still in his mind.
"You have just arrived here?" Nanaki thought to keep things somewhat casual. His mind kept on skirting around the real issue, but he knew this facade of normalcy would not work much with Vincent, being a man of few words, and those he uttered carried much, not unlike himself in a way.
Vincent hummed the affirmative. Well, it was more accurate to say he had returned, but it was still the same in that he had just come back. Either way, it made little difference, and he resumed his walk once Nanaki had come to his side. He glanced down at the beast - it seemed the other had something else to say, but he wouldn't press it if Nanaki didn't speak up. He knew the creature would, if it was important.
"Reeve told me you had come to Edge. Are you staying somewhere?" There was some concern of safety for Nanaki, if he had chosen to stay out in the open or perhaps stay with Tifa and the ... ressurected, at the bar.
"AVALANCHE has members who aren't like the average human," he said pointedly whilst gazing down at the younger. "Ridding the world of a slayable menace and ridding the world of a... recreation are too different to be compared." He paused from the longer than usual string of words, as if to catch his breath. Whether it was his own bias - he was a male, he did have his own views on issues - or otherwise, he simply didn't see BioFuse completing the task on their own. AVALANCHE was able to because they had Cloud and the others, two of which were with him now.
He raised his head from the folds of his cloak to gaze upwards towards the sky almost distantly for a brief moment before he shook his head. Eitherway, it wasn't his problem. Not his generation. Not his fight.
"True, but..." Yuffie had no argument ready against the ever-right Vincent. BioFuse was nothing like AVALANCHE used to be, but was that it for them? A has-been was not something Yuffie ever wanted to be labeled as. "Hey Red, wait up!" Her strides lengthened in an attempt to keep up with the beast while remaining near Vincent, desperate to keep them together. "Maybe BioFuse can't take care of it, but we still can." Determination had made up her mind for her, and possibly for the rest of them if she had anything to do with it

Vincent surpressed a start as the firebeast suddenly rounded on them, halting in his steps. He gazed at Nanaki calmly, eyes narrowing only in the slightest of fashions while he spoke. Nanaki was not human - Vincent never disillusioned himself into believing so - but he had never taken into account of the way another species might view the race. His words brought concern for both the source of them at the beast himself, but he remained quiet as the fire dimmed from its flare
