The light fighting to come through the curtains was doing a good job of lighting the reaches of Dib's room even through the hastily-closed curtains. Clothes and random items lay strewed around the room, the sheets on Dib's bed lay twisted, shuffled and punctured in more than a few places.

Tak lay stretched across a low stone ledge in one of the commercial nodes of the Nexus. Tak slumped against the ivy-covered stone pillar in one of the random Nexus gardens, dropping her face into her hands.

The pockmarked fabric of Nexus reality splits open yet again, and Tak steps through, quickly closing the portal behind her before anyone saw what was on the other side. A fixer-upper?
The dimensional transport thingy stuffed into Tak's pak has aquired a great deal many coordinates as time has worn on. She can easily access her homeworld, Samus' homeworld and multiple variations thereof, Mewtwo's training Place, Stormhold Keep, the Chozo ruins beneith the planet Irk, the dimension of sesame-fried shrimp, and many many others.

Tak is back in Mewtwo's Place once again. She also happens to be floating. Only a few inches off the ground and shakily at that, but she IS floating, her eyes closed, her antennae folded back. Her concentration had increased substantially over the past week or so, and it had gotten easier to do things like this in the psychically mutable ( Read more... )
