I couldn't sleep last night, so I got up and turned on the television and there was a dvd workout system infomercial on the channel I turned on. The dvd/system was called, I kid you not, "Yoga Booty Ballet." If you spend money on something called "Yoga Booty Ballet," you deserve to be fat ( Read more... )

Actually, from what I've read Cleopatra was not beautiful. But she was a woman of great personal charm and scorching sensuality. I agree the actress playing her wasn't quite those things. But it's possible some of that was because of the shoving of two seasons' worth of story into ten episodes. She didn't get enough screentime to really register one way or the other ( ... )

Oh, I agree, as I said, Antony DESERVED to have his ass handed to him, and not just for being drugged up and under Cleopatra's thumb. Your description of Octavian as Emperor HAL 3000 is spot on. His attempts at charm made me think I could see zeroes and ones buzzing behind his eyes. "Smile in return at human smile, activate right gripping device to intake liquid."
As for Cleopatra's beauty, maybe I am wrong. Maybe historically, she was the first effective user of roofies, and mood altering substances to control others. That's the only way I buy that actress as a femme fatal (sp?) who brought down a would be emperor. The season, as anticipated, was amazing.

Which I find incredibly hot. That final scene with Cleopatra was just about the sexiest thing I've ever seen.

Well, maybe someday soon, they will be able to build you one. I am looking forward to the DVD's too. Luckily, I am able to use my tv as a monitor from my computer, but it's just not the same as the clarity and size on the tv as the dvd will provide.

Well, if you do, I want pictures of you in action. You should see some of the "moves" these people were hakwing. How's the kitty holding up?
